Lynden Tennison

Lynden has enjoyed a successful career in corporate executive roles in the technology, transportation, and logistics industries along with startup and private company operating experience. Lynden is the former Chief Strategy & Information Officer for Union Pacific Corporation. Prior to his 26+ years at UP, he led the Artificial Intelligence (AI) group at American Airlines, and had key technology leadership roles at LTV Aerospace and AT&T. In 2019, Lynden was elected to the CIO Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishments.

While at Union Pacific, Lynden led teams that acquired several technology companies as well as initiating the strategic investment into a key technology partner which generated nearly $200 million in investment income. He also played a senior role in 2 large transportation acquisitions and integrations representing over $5 billion in transaction value. During Lynden’s tenure as CIO, Union Pacific increased its market capitalization by over 10X and became the largest market cap company in the transportation industry.

Lynden earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas-Arlington and completed Advanced Management Studies in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Lynden is also the owner of one of the world’s premier bird hunting resorts, Pheasant Bonanza Hunt Club and Kennel, located in Tekamah, Nebraska.
